Our Bulgarian Education and Culture Society Pchela conceives, organizes and executes events promoting traditional Bulgarian culture and have significance for Bulgarian people.
We have executed many successful events. Every year we conduct two important events Balkan Fest and Nadigravaneto. Also we host a number of concerts, appearances and exhibits.

Хорото води Гергана Панова!
С настъпването на пролетта започват и женските празници. Този път специален гост в Калифорния е Гергана Панова.
Ще срещнем Гергана и всички дами с цвете . В подкрепа на идеята на жените в общността за празнично отбелязване на тази датата и с признанието, че без тях светът няма да е същия.
Gergana studied folk dance pedagogy, choreography, ethnology and directing in Bulgaria, and Laban notation, communicative sciences and cultural philosophy in Germany. In 2004 her dissertation on “Dance Beyond the Iron Curtain” was awarded the prize of the year by the Technical University of Dortmund. In 2011 Gergana received her habilitation in Ethnomusicology from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. She regularly commutes between Bulgaria, where for 25 years she has headed the Ethnochoreology research at the Institute for Art Studies, BAS, and Germany, where she is Associate Professor of International Dance at Folkwang University in Essen.
