DESCRIPTION:The Herb Alpert Music Center at Los Angeles City College would like to invite you to this special music celebration.Join is for the 6th Annual Kirov Concert with support by Bulgarian Society PCHELA and the Consulate General of Bulgaria in Los Angeles in honor of the Bulgarian Unification Day. We will celebrate this special occasion with performances of traditional Bulgarian music as well as original compositions by two renowned Bulgarian musicians – father and son. Prof. Dr. Todor Kirov is the Dean of the Folklore music department at the Academy for Music\, Dance\, and Visual Arts in Plovdiv\, Bulgaria and his son\, Dr. Milen Kirov is a pianist\, composer\, and educator. They will be joined by three very special guests – EMILIA SIMEONOV (violin)\,ANDREW CONRAD (clarinet/sax)\, and MATHIAS KUNZLI (percussion).
