DESCRIPTION:On Monday\, June 6\, 2022\, the Consulate General of Bulgaria in Los Angeles hosted a reception in honor of the Bulgarian Education and Culture Society PCHELA visiting fellow Ms. Veselina Yurukova. BECS PCHELA Board of Directors attended. Consul General Mr. Boyko Hristov welcomed the guests and invited Ms. Yurukova to convey her remarks. Ms. Yurukova stressed the importance of exchange between Bulgarian and the US based Bulgarian cultural organizations\, thanked PCHELA for sharing best practices and support of her visit. She showed a video greeting by Ms. Tsveta Karayancheva from Kardzhali. BECS PCHELA presented the book “Sound Portraits of Bulgaria” by Martin Koenig to Ms. Yurukova for her contribution to better understand East Rhodope Mountains Region of Bulgaria and her native town Kardzhali. Ms. Yurukova presented the book “Kardzhali on the Historical Map” то her mentor and PCHELA Chairman of the Board Mr. Kalin Krumov.
